If you leave the excerpt form blank, WordPress will use the first 55 words of your post content as post excerpt. You think 55 words are too long or too short? This is how you can change it.

For administrative or some other reasons, you want to assign posts to a particular category but you do not want your site visitors to see this category. This is how you prevent one or more category from showing up in the post page.
